A Nice Little Package

The Discs to this set are exactly the same as the individual dvd releases just repackaged. This is a set for fans only As the original King Kong And Peter Jacksons King Kong are a Lot Better. Would have been better with more special features.Read full review...

Excellent x

A classic version of the story with Jeff Bridges and Jessica Lange x I prefer this slightly corny hollywood version to the more recent remake x.

King Kong (DVD 2002)

This 1978 remake of the 1933 Classic has always been given extremely bad reviews. In my opinion its an OK Movie, and Jeff Bridges, and Jessica Lange(In her first major role) give good performances. The story is very similar to the original film, although the locations have been changed in some cases.

If you liked the original then you should like this, as the Ape is still scary, but a softy at heart when it comes to Ms Lange!.This has just been released with "King Kong Lives" which is the follow up to this film, and that again is very similar.

Finally, you can buy this from Amazon, or Ebay for about a Fiver which is cheap in anyone's language so if 1/You enjoy King Kong Movies, 2/You like Ape Movies generally, this is well worth a viewing.

KING KONG

This film has been remade at least twice so it must a good story line. I saw this version at the cinema back in the 70`s. It has been on T.V. a few times so the chances are it is remembered by alot of people over the age of 30. I hired the new version from my local shop but found it to be to pumped up with modern technology. To much was stressed on the visual effects and the story seemed, to me to take a back seat ride. I feel this 1970`s version keeps your mind on the story. The effects may seem abit tame but, they serve there purpose and are not over done. Personnelly I think this is the best version of a classic film. I bought it because of this reason and i still watch it every now and then.Read full review...
