Cheap upcycling hobby
Decent starter product for what has turned into a relaxing hobby for me. The metal bends quite easily but is still functional. I enjoy finding ways to improve the process to make better briquettes (I recommend part-blending a portion of the mix to help it stick together). The briquettes take days to dry, but I should have a decent supply in time for firepit season.Read full review...

Not What I Expected
It arrived in good condition but after making 3 logs the press became very warped and the third log didn't seem to be compressed enough. It didn't come with any instructions, so I just soaked some torn up cardboard and paper in water overnight to make the pulp. Also when you are done compressing your log you have to flip the contraption upside down in order to get the water to drain, so don't even plan on mounting it to anything. It is also a lot smaller than I expected-that picture of it sitting next to a stack of newspaper is deceiving. I can't imagine why anyone would give this more than I one star review. Not heavy duty.
I wouldn’t call it heavy duty. The main frame is quite strong but the long arms to apply pressure for squeezing out the excess water are quite flimsy by comparison. It’s good value for the price but I may order another more expensive model from a different source to try an alternative. Then I’ll be able to give a more considered review. Certainly worth what I paid. Read full review...

Handy tool
Built well but if you put a lot of pressure on it will distort and bend but easily straightened, make good size bricks and easy to use

Great tool
Very easy to use.
I just fill my kitchen sink with water, add the paper, 15 mins later put it into the machine which I stand on the draining board.
Move 2 simple leavers and you have a brick.
Leave it somewhere to dry and job doneRead full review...

My new squeeze
Works fine, Instructions a bit lacking - no indication as to how much sodden paper to load in before operating the handles to compress the paper and squeeze out the water.
I think the handles could be a bit more substantial, but I suppose at this price point it's OK.

Effective but not really heavy duty
As others have said, this product works well, but is a little flimsy, and the top part of the press is prone to bending under pressure. I've only used it once, and the briquettes are now drying, so it does work, but I wonder for how long?Read full review...

Bent before use
Unboxed my item and one of the handles is corkscrewed and the top plate has bends in the upper corners.
I've heard these flex a bit when being used but before even using it most of it rubs/interests with the other parts.Read full review...

Great fun to use
Am pleased with this product. Its really well made and easy to use. Have an old French stove so I have access to the flap at the top. Absolutely ideal for drying my handiwork!
