Kirby Star Allies (Nintendo Switch, 2018)

Another excellent modern Kirby title.

Ever since I was able to hold a Game Boy, I was playing Kirby.

This game follows the same core gameplay elements as Kirby's Return to Dream Land for the Wii, where you have up to 4 players play with you, but this time you have up to 3 enemy allies and not 4 Kirby's.

You can combine elemental powers to Copy Abilities and allies to give yourself a wide range of ability combinations. For example, you can give the element of Wind to Cutter to make your blades spin upwards to trigger switches, or combine Fire to Yo-Yo to get the ability to trigger bomb wicks that are inside walls.

With the free updates, you can play as characters from past Kirby games like Rick/Kine/Coo from Kirby's Dream Land 2, the Final Boss from Kirby's Super Star Marx, and even Adeline/Ribbon from Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards!

11 year old son loves it

Son says the graphics on the Switch are the best of any of his consoles (even the WiiU and PS4) and even the reasonably good 800 dollar gaming laptop he has. Kirby Star Allies itself is super fun and he spent a day simply beating It some reckless imperfect but fun way. Then plays it a variety of other ways; speed runs, collecting things, unlocking stuff as the different characters he's unlocked. It's not an epic 100-hour+ story like final fantasy, but has a story mode kids can get through in a reasonable amount of time followed by replayability in the form of unlockables and being different characters or collecting things. (Even on FF7, my kid was inclined to spend more time on their snowboarding and motorcycle games in the fun center than trying to save the world. :) Kirby's focus on fun suits him well.)Read full review

Kirby Star Allies' main story campaign is exactly what it says it is. It's a Kirby game you can play and amass a team of allies to join you.
The game introduces element mechanics to the abilies Kirby gets. The games is great for a quick fix.
For those looking for a long experience, the unlockable modes are where this game shines. The latest updates for the game introduced familiar characters to be playable as allies. The modes take full advantage of the playable newcomers.Read full review

Very fun Game. 5 star deserving

It is very fun and I enjoy the pictures so far.A little easy but has some hard parts.I love the mini games and the mixing copy abilities.all in all it is a 5 star game.
