I have been taking this product for years as a Costco member. It is a little more expensive than purchasing at a Costco store, but I am saving $60 annually for a Costco membership and right now that is important to me. Dark dye in product!?!

I was using Mucinex 1200 twice daily to reduce congestion so I thought I’d try generic guaifenesin.
I take 800 mg of the Kirkland brand and it does work nicely, BUT it has dark blue coloring in it! I hadn’t realized this when I purchased it, so I have located a very similar product sans artificial coloring!! Thus the 3 star rating....Read full review

Fine product withiut the price

The brand name (Mucinex) is really good. But if you need a lot of it, the stuff is real pricey! The Kirkland product comes in 400 mg tabs rather than 600 mg. So you must recalculate how much to use. If you use 4 of the 600 mg brand tabs, it takes 6 of the Kirkland 400 mg tabs for the same daily dosage. Works for me, helps loosen and get rid of mucus. I take 1/2 of a 400mg a lot of times at night and that's enough to keep me from being bothered by congestion so I can sleep.

I love this stuff. I've tried other brands of mucus relief pills. This works the best and it works fast. I take 2 pills a day when I wake up and go to sleep. Instead of the high dollar stuff

I use a LOT of guaifenesin. My old doctor said, "It'll keep you out of the hospital." I take slightly less than the maximum. I used to break the bank and buy the name brand. Much less expensive than timed release expectorants

I have COPD and was taking 4 600 mg. timed release tablets a day which was very expensive. I have been able to reduce dosage to one 600 mg/day and 2 400 mg/day and even less, depending on air quality. If I experience an exacerbation due to pollen or other airborne irritants, I resume my original dosage. This is high pollen season so I will soon be increasing dosage to the maximum.Read full review
