Just what I needed

I've been waiting to buy a baking stone for quite some time now but just hadn't found the time. I really wanted to try baking welsh cakes. Took some time to decide on the style and then bought this as the price was excellent compared to shops and elsewhere on line. When it arrived I followed the preparation instructions and then gave it a try. I must say it's better than I'd hoped. It's thick and heavy made excellently from good quality plate. When I bought this item I didn't realize how thin it was which is a problem in as much as it is difficult to keep at a steady temperature also the finishing of the casting is poor around the handle area,had to get the files out to remove very sharp edges.
