Fit perfectly, replaced the original rack that had started rusting at the ends of several rods
We really like our KitchenAid dishwasher; the stainless tub has held up well. Unfortunately after more than 13 years, most of the other plastic and metal parts have deteriorated. The upper rack in particular seems prone to rusting at the ends of the steel rods anywhere the coating is damaged. Once a rod starts rusting, it progresses quickly and is likely to cause damage to the grinder/filter as it deposits metal filings into the machine. The replacement rack coating was intact and it was easy to install. I replaced one of the rollers and the utensil basket and the dishwasher might now last several more years.
Note: plastic parts should be replaced with new parts, not used - used parts are too brittle and will quickly break again. The steel rack seems fine until the coating gets damaged. In the future, I'll probably use epoxy to fix any coating damage.Read full review
