Gives the cosy factor to a decommissioned Woodburner

For ages we’ve been looking for an insert that would fit inside our wood burning stove during the summer months when we’re not using it for burning logs. The dimensions are perfect for our Stovax stove, and it produces a warm glow, which is much better than looking at a dark empty space. The flame effect is fairly basic but good enough to give the cosy glow a bit of life. It is also available with a heating element, which we considered using with the glass door open on cold evenings, but in the end decided against as, in our burner at least, it would have made the ‘glowing coals’ sit too high. The original cable was reasonably long but I easily replaced it with a longer one as our nearest plug was a bit too far away. The communication during purchase and posting was great and ours arrived earlier than predicted. All-in-all a great purchase.Read full review
