absolutely stunning sound!!! high quality. larger then expected but oh well you get huge speakers for a DEAL.
update the firmware or else the sub volume and other settings will reset every time it wakes up from sleep mode [which you can't disable]

What a disappointment

Good but perhaps I don't have it hooked up quite right

I really do like the sound quality, and the subwoofer works pretty well--movies, especially, are enjoyable. I don't think hearing dialogue is quite as clear as other reviews make you believe--at times, I have to turn up the sound higher to distinguish the dialogue. Also, I thought the system was supposed to smooth out the commercials when they come on, but sometimes that is not the case.

The sounds is slow to come on when I turn on the tv--takes 15-20 seconds at least before you hear anything--and sometimes the tv speakers come on first and then a message pops up saying "switching to external speakers." Sometimes, also, after the system comes on, it will cut out after 10 seconds or so, then the sound returns with no further issues. Perhaps I don't have it hooked up quite right.

For the price I paid for it, I believe $325, it is a good value, but I know it retails for $699, and I would not feel very good if I paid that much for it. A good system, and tons better than the tv speakers, but not that good where I'd pay $700 for it. My two cents, anyway--4 star system but IMO, not a 5-star system.
