Most comfortable ground pad of my entire damn life

This thing is fantastically comfortable. It's really wide and the v-shape baffles work some kind of magic. I've been sleeping outside for 30 years and I can't remember being this comfortable on a pad.

That being said, it takes some practice to roll it up perfectly and you are also in danger of puncturing the pad and then having to repair a leak. I probably wouldn't use it in the desert for that reason (too many small sharp things everywhere) but otherwise it's SO GOOD.

Best camp mattress ever...

The Klymit Static V Luxe air pad is by far the best backpacking camp mattress I have ever used. I am a very big dude, and this thing keeps me comfortable all night long. It's easy to inflate. However, I'm still getting the hang of rolling it back up while getting completely deflating it. It is well made and sturdy. It is not insulated, so understand this is primarily for use in warmer weather. Get the insulated version if you're planning an excursion involving cold weather. Includes a stuff sack and repair kit.Read full review

Super Sleep.. no refilling air during the night

Just got back from the Grand canyon with a party of five - highly reccomend - easy to inflate quickly, lost "0" air over five days. Everyone loved their pad and all slept soundly... Thank You Klymit - looking forward to our next camping trip. Oh, and packs super small we had four novices to camping, all took care of their own pad with no problems.Read full review

Great Pad

i bought this pad for a 6 day 56 mile hike, i have had many other types of pads but none as comfortable, lightweight and compact size in the bag. i bought the factory refurbished model and will likely buy this model in the future.Read full review

Much more comfortable than standard pads

I needed a new sleeping set-up for a backpacking tent set-up, and my old standard twin-sized air mattress was too heavy and large to fit the bill.
Also my back does not approve of sleeping on the ground, so I did some research for the best solution.
The Klymit sleeping pad had a great reputation, so I purchased the Luxe version because the larger size was perfect for my tent (and a little thicker too). It is a comfortable pad, certainly leaps and bounds over just a sleeping bag on the ground. I paired it with a rolled foam pad underneath to provide a little more comfort and protection for the Klymit air mattress and that combo was good.
The Klymit is very well made, has no odor, and like I said before, it's comfortable. I tested it for 3 nights and had no leaks, and my back didn't complain too much in the mornings, but with that being said, I might order another one to double stack them. They are so compact and lightweight when packed that I am willing to sacrifice a tiny bit to have a great nights sleep on long trips.
I would recommend this over the thinner "self-inflating" pads if you are looking for a little more comfort.

Edit: Satisfied till...

Bought this past may for spring/fall camping. Used only two times.
I was pleased with the product until air leaks from the right air nozzle.
Was a cold night, may fix a puncture with included repair kit but a nozzle, no luck.

Edit: contacted Klymit, and customer support is great, new pad is already on the air.
All meets my expectation except the air valve they use, I think the same valve is used for their top/extreme line pad as well (correct me if I'm wrong), I feel the valve is not bombproof, and I'd not take the pad on all locations. I'd much prefer punctures over a valve failure, for this reason I take one star off.

Excellent pad

I liked it so much I bought my son the same one.
I liked how the material was not slippery. I was on a slight angle and the pad held the sleeping bag from sliding to the bottom of the tent.
It blew up and compacted easy.
With the 2 chambers I was even able to have my son on 1 side while I was on the other.
Nice for him to help out the old man.

Great Mattress!

I bought the smaller one for my son and was really impressed so I bought this wider one for myself. I am absolutely amazed that lying on a concrete surface there are no points that contact the floor even on my side. I am a 200 lb. guy and just amazed! Loaned to other guys in the scout troop and after one weekend both bought one. Comfort, ease of use, durability and lightweight make this one a real deal! Just so you know I carried my old Intex blowup Glamper mattress first time just in case. After my first use I gave the old Intex away and am trail ready, ditched my Big Agnes I used to use for hiking, got tired of rolling off it.Read full review

Great Air Pad!

This is a great air pad. It's light weight, packable and still very comfortable. It's plenty wide and long, as well as thick enough to give an old body plenty of cushion from the hard ground.

Overall Great Sleeping Pad

The good points of Static V Luxe pad:

Lightweight
Packs small
Very comfortable
Width is great for a single person
Deflates quickly

Cons:

Slippery texture - my sleeping bag kept sliding down on this pad
Wish it had the self-inflating properties of my Thermarest, but that would probably make it larger when packed down
