Whilst I have tried to keep my (large) record collection in good condition inevitably over the years dust has gathered in grooves and having bought a new turntable it was time to find a way of cleaning without spending a small fortune on a cleaning machine. The Knosti seemed to fit the bill; I did some further online research and went ahead with the order.
The records certainly do sound better using distilled water and dishwasher rinse aid - I have not used the supplied cleaning fluid following what I had read on the various online forums.

Silly name, great idea, easy to improve.
Built just well enough to do the job it is intended to do, it performs very well overall.
My criticisms are...
The crank handle is rather weak, the careless, or stoned will snap it, far too much play at the spindle interface, the disc wobbles around increasing the stress on the crank handle, shim it with some thin card.
The plastic tips on the drying rack have the same effect on records as a diamond being dragged across them, be careful when using it. I have little PVC protectors heat shrunk around mine.
Knosti's fluid is farcically expensive, use Vinyl shelters fluid, half the price, works just as well. The cost of spares, if you can obtain them is also farcical.
Bottom line...
At this price build quality should be much better, but it has no real competition. If you have a decent size record collection this is the base line device for cleaning them.Read full review...

An amazing product, works better than I ever expected! A great cheap alternative to the professional mechanical record cleaners. Being a retired club DJ some off my records have seen better days, sweat, smoke machines, smoking, alcohol, grubby finger prints etc. With the use of the 'Knosti Disco Antistatic Generation II' and Knosti record cleaning fluid, records which I thought had seen the end of there days have come up good as new after a good clean! 40 year old vinyl looks like new!
I have cleaned disks from the 60s, 70s and they all play beautifully now. The oldest disk from the 1940s is also greatly improved. Really easy to use and compact to store. A good product.

I have tried many different cleaners but this works best by a country mile. Currently cleaning my whole vinyl collection using this machine and all sound so much better as a result. Reasonably Effective
It is a plastic trough containing an anti-static cleaning fluid. You spin the record and bristles clean the grooves. It is effective in removing surface dust and suppressing static. It doesn't get all the dirt out of the grooves, so when you play the record you still have to keep cleaning the stylus, at least for a while.
