Entertaining.

The story is good and the actors are interesting.. The film has some slow parts but generally is fast paced. There is a lot of violence but this is expected in a Kong movie. Overall a good movie.

Good movie

I bought this for my son he really wanted it, we watched it before we bought it and it has a better story line then some of the other Terminators but overall a decent movie it can get a little confusing if you're not familiar with the other Terminator movies.

Long Live The KONG!!!!

Great movie, Seen several different remakes. This one is just as good if not better than some of the others. Put's a different twist on most of the other movie plots.

Probably the most realistic King Kong ever

It may seem strange to put the words REALISTIC and KING KONG in the same sentence, but if you accept the premise of a giant ape and isolated natives on an uncharted island, then yes, this version is probably the most realistic. When Kong rises out of the swamp, he's muddy. He behaves like a gorilla who has gotten used to living in proximity with humans; in other words, since there are no other gorillas around, he protects and defends humans (and other animals) living in his territory. He doesn't fall in love with human women, or attack humans for no reason; but when strange humans come to the island and attack him, he fights back fiercely. I was impressed by how real this Kong appears; he never looks like a robot or a CGI effect. He is HUGE, and remains the same size at all times, an improvement over other Kongs who seem to change size in relation to the humans in different scenes. All the action is confined to Skull Island, a wise move, since many critics felt the Jack Black version was too long...and though I understand WHY someone would want to take Kong to New York, HOW they successfully did it seemed improbable. If you hate remakes and maintain that the original King Kong is unsurpassed, then you will dislike this version because of the many changes in the plot. But if you judge it on its own merits, you may enjoy this action-adventure. Read full review
