Con: limited capability with one VCO, case is delicate...do not drop except on feather bed. No regrets, this is one of my 4 Volca's, beats, FM, Keys are the others. Best bang for your buck

These things are amazing value. Analogue monosynths for this price? And they sounds HUGE (just so long as you don't listen to them on their crappy built in speakers). Also, the build quality is fantastic. Super solid, no knob wiggle, and such good feel when turning them. These are my new favorite synths. Portable synth station

These two synthesizers together make a complete synth station that you can take anywhere. Drums from the volca beats and crazy synth lines from the volca bass come together to make a really cool, unique, and full sound. They both have storage banks to save programs, which are easy to switch between for creating songs on the fly, as well as the ability to record over live as you play. Lots of fun and easy to sample from. You can even easily run MIDI from another instrument or computer into the setup to play along with other elements. Fun groove machine

With the ability to have three separate sequences playing at once, you can create interesting blends of chords and slides. Plus, while playing live, you can start a pattern with some of the voices muted, and then switch then in to build up a song. The price you can get one of these used in good condition is amazing! So much value in this interesting, easy to use analog bass tweaker. I also have a Novation Bass Station rack and this matches up nicely, with warmer yet more brute filters and smoother shaping abilities.
