Unique 'One of A Kind' Film 'Worth Owning' for collectors
There are no cons here. The pros, without ruining the whole point to watching this film, are many. Historically accurate, and the make up and effects are completely convincing. Great actors. Very handsome 'Kevin Sorbo', who later went on to play as Hercules in the action pack series of Hercules and Xena. The whole plot of the story teaches various life lessons, regarding humility, strength, courage, and the real love, along with self sacrafice. I had seen this film back when I was a child. I'm now 38 and just had to get it for myself to show my own children. The movie flirts with glimpses of what royalty and slavery were all about, while inadvertently covering the age old topic of 'free will' versus compulsion. Great film and gets right to the point. Remembering my friends & I sitting in the theater first watching Kull & thoroughly enjoying Kevin Sorbo as Robert E. Howard's Kull the Conqueror, I had to purchase this DVD. It is a must have in my realm of fantasy films! Before CG special effects controlled the sword & sorcery films, amazing sets, costumes & actors controlled the story telling. That's what I admire most about this highly underrated movie. The amazing cast, big budget sets & entertaining characters will not fail to excite! I'm never disappointed with the seductive Tia Carrere, the angelic Karina Lombard & powerful Kevin Sorbo. They ruled the 90s decade for fantasy films.Read full review
