Lego to the rescue!

My 10 yr old nephew loves legos and will spend hours playing with them. He has been particularly enamored if this lego set, and it is a great way to motivate him to complete his online homework -we have gotten through multiplication and are now flying through Equivalent Fractions with much more enthusiasm and an end goal (adults -he is retaining, child -lego pirate ship + two other possibilities!). Satisfied, but had to secure my own pieces to complete the project

On the whole, I’m satisfied with the item. I purchased it knowing there were substitute pieces in the kit. That did not dissuade me from my purchase. Now that I’ve “completed” the assembly, I find that one important piece that was to support the mast was not a suitable substitute (it had no hole for the mast to be secured.
