Having made the move from IPhone, I
I was a little dubious about moving to Android. The phone had mixed reviews but overall it rated reasonably well for me to decide to buy one as opposed to a more expensive Samsung or similar.
I have to say that so far I am more than pleased with the ease of use and some great features. The biggest benefit has got to be the ability to carry a spare battery. With modest use it lasts the day but with heavy use it gets low by the evening and that's where the spare battery comes into play.
The camera is very good, especially the super wide angle option. It takes much better pictures than my old IPhone 5s but not as good as a DSLR.
The rear home button and fingerprint sensor is surprisingly easy to get used to and you can also do a double tap when locked to wake up the phone and use a pin or pattern or even a tapping sequence to unlock without the fingerprint.
Very happy with the phone and if I were to upgrade, it would be for only the L6.

Best Phone Yet LG G5

I previously had an LG G3 which I liked very much then my wife bought me an LG G5 for my birthday and I was a bit upset that it did not have the volume buttons on the back but after using it for a few weeks I can honestly say that my LG G3 is a distant memory. I really like that it is slightly smaller and fits better in my hand plus the finger print reader is fantastic so sensitive and I find the volume on the phone much better especially as I am a bit hard of hearing (age 77). The camera is also awesome especially the panoramic setting just love it. It can do so much although I really only use it for phone calls but for younger folk who us internet etc I am sure they would love it too. So go on treat yourself to an LG G5 you won't regret it.Read full review

An overall good product

This is a great smart phone with a great screen and extensive functionality and capability. The battery lasts quite long after being used for a whole day taking pictures (after a whole day of sightseeing and taking pictures, there was still some battery left at the end of the day). In addition, the photos that this phone can take are great with lively colours and the second wide angle camera being very useful when taking pictures of enormous monuments or trying to fit as much as possible of a beautiful view in the picture. LG quality as always

I am an average user but run a small business where I travel a lot. I have had numerous smart phones and my last 3 have been LG's. I love the Android capabilities - much more flexible than the Iphone ios. The camera quality is amazing, a must with a growing family and all the on photos that get taken. The battery life seems good - I can get a good days work out of it and not run out of battery. Its fabulously fast to charge up which is a bonus. The handset will heat up a bit with prolonged use - but that's pretty much the same with any smart phone. The feel of the phone is surperb - light but feels solid. The LG G5 is narrower than the LG G3 and G4 so is much more comfortable to hold, and even with girl-sized hands, you can do some things one handed. The internal antenna seems stronger too - whereas I often had issues with my network inside buildings, I now usually get a decent signal (still using the same network) The volume control is now back on the side of the phone which is far more user friendly than stuck on the top. Great phone, great performance.

There's been a lot of harsh comments about the LG and Its design and honestly, I don't see what the fuss is about. It's a great phone and I always get compliments on the phones modularity and its design. The performance is great, I moved up from the G4 and I see a slight but obvious performance bump. My only negative comments is the backlight bleed on the screen, which I can see at the top of the phone and at the bottom corners. Also, the battery is not the greatest at times with 3 and half hours screen on time. It makes up with that with incredible standby time. To sum it up - it was a great buy and I would recommend it.
