Great audio and smooth operation

I had a number of requirements for my new phone: android, allows external storage, has audio jack, has independent DAC. All of this to allow me to listen to uncompressed music through wired headphones. The LG has all these features. I'm pleased with its smooth operation thanks to generous RAM. The screen is high quality and looks great. Battery life seems to be about 48 hours with moderate use. Camera is good without being world beating. So far I am very pleased.Read full review...

Competitive phone that won't break the bank.

Fast processor, decent sized OLED screen but as an audiobook addict when travelling, I love the ability to take a huge capacity micro sd card. At present, I use a 400mb card, For long flights, there is even plenty of room for MP4 movies. The cameras are sufficient to produce a decent A4 print. Although a DSLR user, the best camera is the one you have with you. A slow motion facility would be useful for some applications and that would benefit future models. I always use an aftermarked bespoke case and I would recommend purchasing one to keep the phone in pristene condition. I had an LG G7 thin Q for 2 years previously and the fitted case kept it as new.Read full review...

BEWARE - uses carrier branded firmware

Whilst I am pretty happy with this purchase, this particular device comes with carrier (TIM/Telecom Italia) firmware. Meaning software updates come via them rather than direct from LG. While there's maybe nothing to worry about as the device is unlocked (you can use any UK SIM with it) this was not mentioned when purchasing it. Updates from carriers are usually slower to arrive (or not at all!). I'm a little scepticle features such as WiFi calling (supposedly supported by this device) may not work as it is using carrier firmware (I am currently with EE who support WiFi calling but there is no WiFi calling option visible).

In theory you should be able to flash pure stock firmware, but I've not had the confidence to try that with the phone yet...

Overall I'm pretty happy with this purchase. The price I paid is a bargain for a flagship phone when compared to the cost from a UK retailer.

Excellent all around phone

Upgraded from my moto g6 plus, the difference is night and day. The camera(s) are great with added funcitonality (telephoto and ultrawide), navigating the UI is buttery smooth and the battery is really good. Literally the only downside in my opinion is the included 'bloatware' (facebook, LG apps, McAffee) but other than that I'd definitely recommend this phone.Read full review...

Great phone

This phone has got a lot of nifty little features that you won't get on others, such as being able to customise the home buttons tray. The camera is very good. The screen is great quality. Should be getting more acclaim than some of the other Android flagship phones.Read full review...

Best in My Experience

All my smartphones so far have been bought on eBay - and this is by far the best of the bunch. I use the Strava app when cycling and my previous phones would completely discharge during a 4 hour ride. But this phone only discharges by about 10%. With 128GB storage and 6GB memory that is now the new minimum requirement - best phone I have ever owned.Read full review...

Good value, good phone, good sellet

All good. Didn't have one single problem at all. The phone's battery is not the best though, but the camera and the speed is worth to mention.
