Small, easy to use and great real keyboard for easy texting.
This is a really good phone if you don't want to be bothered with a new type of smart phone, want great reception and a real keyboard for easy texts. It also has the ability to access the "Mobile Web" which is good for light internet searches and quick access to your Verizon Account.Read full review

TXT Well with Poor Audio
Replacing my worn LG Cosmos II this phone is a disappointment. The keyboard and texting work well enough but the sound level and microphone are poor. I usually carry the phone in my pocket and cannot hear incoming calls because the speakers are enclosed inside, exposed only when you open the flip. The microphone is located in the left edge and the calling/ receiving party cannot hear me unless I move the end of the phone to my mouth. To have a conversation one has to move the phone between flip open to an ear to hear and left end to the mouth to speak and be heard. To get battery life ring tones, reminders and such are very short. My old LG Cosmos really hollered with its ring tone and people could always hear me - a much better designed phone. I purchased a Blue Tooth LG HBS-750 to overcome these problems. It works OK but is cumbersome unless you leave the earplugs in. I finally bit the bullet and am moving to an Apple iPhone.Read full review

Exactly what I was looking for
I needed to replace my old phone and was looking for a very specific basic phone, not a smartphone. I was looking for one that will let me make/receive calls, text and take an occasional picture. This phone delivered. It is a side flip phone with just the right size keyboard that makes my texting easy. The only drawback is...it may not be available the next time I need a replacement. Aaaah, the ever evolving technology.Read full review

quick summary
Hate smartphones or find them too envasive, cumbersome or just time-wasting? Me too....
Early model that had Bluetooth (though sometimes spotty); there are TWO firmwares for the env2; you will want the more updated one...makes a huge difference on quality of antenna and menu responce time, as well as the potential battery life.
And for what its worth...having a now-considered small MP camera [2mp], it DOES have real glass for a lens...and a zoom. a real zoom, not a digital one. camera cant vibrate or move, and you need 'A' lighting,....but under those circumstances, the video turns out well. You just will likely want to mod the proprietary .3g2 to an .avi.
Oh...and it has an SD slot. I hate phones that have internal storage only.
and two ways to text: via qwerty or standard 9+0+2 keyboard...better for keeping eyes elsewhere, an impossibility with a smartphone.
If only I could find someone who has developed a way to mod the LG menu to more like the old Kyocera Phantom, Id never change phones again. (PS_ env2 will likely be more to your liking than the env3)Read full review

Excellent Phone for calls and texting
If you don't need internet capabilities or the need to send and receive pictures this is an excellent phone. Flips open to display a full QWERTY keyboard with actual buttons so less apt to press wrong letters. CDMA so it can be used on the Verizon system or Walmart Straight Talk which also uses the Verizon system/towers. My plan through Verizon costs $33.00 a month. Plus you can buy these online at a very reasonable price.Read full review

Great 4 texting
Phone is great for texting, but not so great for phone calls. Low volume and hard to access contacts. It takes three screens to get to the contact list from front of phone. Phone will answer phone call in the midst of texting.. No choiceRead full review

Has larger number pad which was hard to find
This is a great phone for an older person. It has a better number pad. The only thing the ringer tones could be louder. If you hard of hearing it needs to ring louder. But otherwise a great phone.

It's a 3G phone.
I love these phones. I bought 2 for a friend who is still using flip phones. The phones are responsive with more than enough features. The problem is I didn't know Verizon would not let us replace his 3G phone with another 3G phone. Verizon as of 2020 only comets 4G and 5G phones. So disappointed. The phone is a big hit, verizon is a bummer.Read full review

we owned 16 of them. Great for texting
The keyboard is the best feature. I still prefer it over the iPhone keyboard when it comes to texting. My battery would last for days. We loved this phone so much that every time something happened to it, I would just go to eBay and buy another one. Since we bought used ones sometimes you got a great phone, other times there would be an issue like phone just shutting off for no reason. In the end I probably should've just bought new ones on eBay. This phone can access data but ultimately if you need a standard phone and text a lot, this one is great. By the way, dropping it almost every day does nothing to it. It is a solid phoneRead full review
