Tastes sweet

I bought this in addition to my usual liquid monkfruit, because sometimes you just need to sprinkle. I can taste a very slight aftertaste from the erithritol, or imagine I can. I don't detect any aftertaste with liquid monkfruit. Not a huge problem, I will buy again.Read full review

Very good, but at a cost !

I had been using Truvia but was informed that Monk Fruit (Lakanto) was superior. It does taste more like sugar in drinks etc, but I need to use more of it to achieve the same sweetness level as Truvia. As Lakanto Classic Sweetener is almost double the price, on a purely economic bases, I feel the extra cost is not worth it. Read full review

Excellent sugar substitute for LCHF, keto or anyone trying to avoid sugar

Mixing erythritol with monk fruit reduces the cooling sensation and makes for nicer tasting goodies. I've used it mainly for keto baking. Among the things I've made with it are cheesecakes, crumbles, cookies, raspberry jam with chia and BBQ sauce. Many of my sugar loving friends haven't been able to tell it's not sugar.

Erythritol doesn't dissolve very well, so if you want a smooth consistency grind the sweetener in a (very dry) coffee grinder or food processor until it's a powder.

It may seem expensive but a little goes a long way if you're no longer used to very sweet things.

New sweetener.

Expensive for a sweetener but it does taste very nice. No aftertaste. You can use it in baking too so good for low carb desserts.

True taste

In tea/coffee this is perfect but too expensive for sugar free baking. No aftertaste, just as you would expect natural sugar to taste in drinks. If you're diabetic, I'm Type2, it does give a blood glucose spike, however much less than sugar plus it's a 'false' high yet I prefer to eat/drink foods following using Monkfruit Sweetener to lower blood glucose as I would with any sugary blood glucose spike. I've tried many of the so called diabetic & sugar free sweetening products out there & this is most palatable for me. It may not be for others so experiment. I highly recommend using this for mainly drinks, sprinkled on cereal, fruits etc but don't bake with it. Fantastic product otherwise.Read full review
