Tomb Raider Anniversary for Wii

Some of the controls are a little awkward. I made the mistake of playing TR Underworld first. They updated the controls for the Wii for that game. So if you've played Underworld, it's easy to get confused with some of the controls. Most notably moving the camera. In Underworld, this is done with the + control on the wii remote. In Anniversary, you hold the C button and point the wii remote at the screen in the direction you want to look. Other than this minor item, the game is great. The graphics are great. The levels rich in detail. A good buy of anyone who likes the series.Read full review...

cool game

cool game . typical of the time s . busy work , not especially creative levels .but fun levels . typical of the time the bosses are difficult and sometimes , often, take the fun out of the game .myself I quit at the level 8 bosses a nd I'm playing on easy level .it's just not worth the effort when I have better , more recent tomb raider games. but this was fun to goof around with for a few days .Read full review...

Awkward controls, good graphics

Controls are very awkward to get used to - especially if you've played TR on other formats like PlayStation. Am embarrassed to admit I was killed by bats trying to aim at and shoot them - yes - BATS! (((hanging head in shame)))Suggest taking advantage of the Manor to master controls before playing the actual game. Camera controls are horrible no matter what you do. The game itself is good, as it's Tomb Raider - which almost never disappoints (Angel of Darkness excepted). Overall a decent game...just wish the controls (especially the shooting) were better thought out.Read full review...

Excelente game!!

I didn't know what to expect of this game. I was excited and a little uncertain. This game did not disappoint, the gameplay and story is amazing and the graphics are pretty good coming from a Wii system. I really enjoyed killing a T-REX.
The only flaw I have is the camera, it can get pretty annoying but if you can get pass that you will enjoy this game 100%.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention this game is a remastered from the original Tomb Raider 1996.

TOMB RAIDER ANNIVERSARY ON WII!!

Fantastic title for your Nintendo Wii!

The controls really make this Tomb Raider title one to own! You will be using your Wii nun-chuck to throw Lara's grappling hook as you dive off of dangerous cliffs and ledges. Draw your guns and aim your Wii remote to take down your most feirce enemies. Tomb Raider Anniversary is a great re-image of the first Tomb Raider game that came out in 1997. For the old school gamers it will take you back into a familiar world with lots new visuals and new features such as the archaeologists tool kit. With these tools you will unlock some additional puzzles that gives this title a whole new feel.

Grab Tomb Raider Anniversary for the Wii and prepare for a classic adventure in a whole new world!

Just what I wanted.

I love the way the makers incorporated the nunchuck with the game and it gives a cool touch to it. I'm a big virtual reality guy and for all you XBOX 360 people, I'd rather have something more fun and not so bad on graphs then just graphics (personal opinion NO OFFENSE) but I'm just a sucker for the Wii. Tomb Raider has been an all time classic and its great to see the Wii offering that classic to its consumers.Read full review...

This game is ATROCIOUS

What I liked: Graphics (for being a Wii game)

What I didn't like: Quests are IMPOSSIBLY hard! Even using a strategy guide still made this game harder than a dried dog turd. Half the time I had to use youtube to see exactly what to do, and even that worked about half the time.

The controls were absolutely horrible. Numerous times in an attempt to pause the game I used up my medi-packs. They don't respond very well either.

The game's programming is so bad that even if you exhausted all possibilities when trying to perform a task, you will find yourself just walking along the walls pressing ^ on the D-Pad a million times just to find the exact location that will let you execute the task. You have to be in the EXACT location, to the EXACT PIXEL.

The unlockables while not needed to progress through the game, are ungodly hard. They require you to perform certain tasks within a set amount of time; however, you need to run back and forth between the level just to get the items or perform the tasks with a very small allotted time frame.

tomb raider underworld

I would have to say that the game is very hard if you don't have the book and trying to learn how to use the numchuck and controller isn't ease but when you use the controller that is wireless and have controls all in front of you it is like you are right thier and all ways taken your time around the next corner or missing a jump or swing to your death becuase you didn't grab something fast enofe, this game is like all the rest but with the book and the live controller again it is like you are in the game trying to figure out your next move and where the clues are and the special weapons and how to move to the next part of the game by making check point so you take a rest just for a moment before you start all over again whats around the next corner.Read full review...

Lara's changed

Lara looks a little different on the screen but still hot so it really doesn't matter.

The camera angles are in dire need of help in this version of Tomb Raider. I loved the GC version and I thought that meant that I'd love this one...boy was I wrong. If you're even considering beating this game...you MUST get the strategy guide. I never had to use one but for this game it was a tiny bit of help that has taken me a long way.

Back to the camera's. When a bear wolf or bat is charging at you, you have to flip and dodge by shaking the nunchuck but you also have to aim while the camera flips all over the place. I don't know if they meant to make the camera angles flip all over , cause the camera's never did that before, but it adds difficulty along with confusion and sometimes...death.
When you're climbing it's difficult to jump from ledge to ledge because the camera is way too dynamic. They need to either check of Prince of Persia or borrow some old ideas from Tomb Raider Legends...which I actually like more...I'm thinkin bout trading or selling this one to someone who enjoys reading strategy guides.

Awesome game! Highly recommended! 5stars!

I love this game! I have always been a big fan of Tomb Raider, and when i found Anniversary for Nintendo Wii I just had to have it! Overall, its a great and fun game, very challenging, and the graphics are pretty good for a Wii game. There is only one negative comment I have about Tomb Raider Anniversary, and that is the camera angle, sometimes when Lara is in a tight space the camera will face her instead of facing whats ahead of you, which makes it hard to see whats in front of you and impossible to fight or shoot at something in front of you when your in a small area. That is a big con, and very annoying, but other than that the game is an overall success, 5 stars! Just remember to avoid tight spaces when your taking on an enemy! I would definately recommend this game to a Tomb Raider fan!Read full review...
