Great DVD, thoroughly enjoyed, good value for money

Fantasy DVD, Based upon a magical world with Unicorn's and Fairie's and darkness and Goblins.

I thoroughly enjoyed this film, i would highly recommended this to watch, it had a Mystical feel and an inventive storyline, even though it was made in 1985(as far as i understand) this has very good viewing colour and looks like a more modern film, very good quality!

I would definately tell a friend as this would be a hit with adults, and i would recommend viewing for over the age of ten to twelve years old, even though this dvd is rated PG, the darker scene's in the film with the Goblins etc may be a little scary for younger viewers.Read full review...

If fantasy is what you are lookin for then Legend is loaded with it. From the mystic atmospheric sets to the amazingly elaborate costume designs. Fairy Tales at its best

I saw this film years ago!! and it always stuck with me, I saw it on ebay and decided to buy it and see if it was as good as I remembered........ Legend (Family Fantasy Film)

I saw this film a few years ago on TV & I thought it was brilliant, so I thought lovely rainy day film for the kids I must get it. The film last 90 mins, which for me isn't long enough. It is directed by Ridley Scot stars Tom Cruise as the hero, forest dweller Jack. Jack is in love with a mortal princess called Lili. One day whilst in the forest Jack decides to show Lili a secret magical place which is the home of two beautiful unicorns. Lili is so captivated by these creatures that she must touch them, that is when the world starts to turn black & icy because the Lord of Darkness also wants the unicorns & sends out his evil goblins to capture them. They capture a unicorn & Lili. The Lord of Darkness has fallen in love with Lili & in order to turn the world as black as pitch for ever, he must kill the unicorns & marry Lili.
It is up to Jack with the help of fairies, pixies & little people to rescue Lili, free the unicorns & defeat the Lord of Darkness before he can turn the world into darkness forever. Is Jack strong & courageous enough to defeat evil & win the love of a Princess? An iconic film, but the soundtrack will either make it or break it for you.

Legend is a wonderful film, indeed it is an iconic piece of film making by Ridley Scott with superb performances from the cast, particularly Tim Curry. Visually breathtaking with stunning make up and special effects (absolutely NO CGI!) the viewer is taken on a fantasy journey like no other; it is a veritable fairy tale brought to life. However, I understand there are several versions of it and buyers should be aware that this DVD is not the Tangerine Dream soundtrack version (for which I would have given a rating of 5/5 without hesitation). If you are familiar with or, in fact, prefer the Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack then this is the DVD for you. On the other hand, if, like me, you grew up with the hauntingly beautiful soundtrack by Tangerine Dream, which I believe adds so much, then avoid this edition at all costs as you will be bitterly disappointed. If you see this cover and the listing states Tangerine Dream, ignore it as it will be the Jerry Goldsmith version.Read full review...

crap music :(

absolutely love this film,but was deeply disappointed by the score,not the same as the version i ve seen,and the film looses so much for it not being there,also at the end there s no john anderson singing possibly the most beautiful song ever written and you dont even get to see the unicorns horn being put back on which always makes me cry...of course if i had read the reviews before buying it i would have known all this,now im going to have to buy the proper one as well :(Read full review...

I remember watching this film when i was a little girl and i really enjoed it. I hae always loved fantasy films i love all thing with faries goblins ect in.
