This is a very good way to conceal the wires behind your TV.
This wiring system is extremely easy to do. I would like to caution you however,....be careful when you route the wires/cables through the upper access hole. The opening has two vertical brushes on both sides; you push your component wires, HDMI, or other wires through. These brushes, help fill the hole, and close the gap between all the wires you feed through it. if you're not careful, you can push these brush panels right through the plastic box (as I did). It's a great product, but just be gentle when you pull the wires through the brushes. This thing is plastic, and we all know the limits to plastic.
I've just purchased my 3rd kit.Read full review

Good product but instruction
Quality of product is good. But instruction were not that great. On card it shows to mark the lower outlet but when you follow the hile in the wall will come ou bigger than assembly. Actually you should mark it inside not outside of the assembly as shown in picture. Also, on top assembly be sure to leave enough room for angled back portion f stud as it projects outside the top assembly. Better instructions would avoid both issues.Read full review

Good Overall Kit, Might Get Complicated Though
Got this kit for $21.99, and considering its high build quality and everything you get, it was a bargain. The concept is pretty simple -- cut 2 holes in your wall in-between the studs, pull through the power cord and any cables you have, and then put the boxes and outlet covers on. Problem I ran into is that there was a diagonal cross-brace partially in the way of the larger box that I discovered AFTER I cut the hole (yes, I used a stud finder), and this brace was structural, so no cutting/notching could be done.
So, I had to shift the hole over 2 inches and then fill/patch/paint the void left behind. It's not really a big deal but understand that you might face a situation like this where what you expect to be a breezy 2-hour job turns into several hours spread over 3 days, not to mention trips to the hardware store.
Running the cord and cables down the wall was not too bad, though they got caught up on nails and rough spots in the cavity. I recommend making sure that your HDMI and any other cables are at least 10 ft. long, especially if you have an articulated TV mount. It's nice to have extra cable than not enough in this situation. You can find cables as long as you want here on eBay MUCH cheaper than in retail settings so order them now if you don't have them already. Consider pulling through an extra if you have room for making future expansion slightly easier.
The openings where the cables go through are not very large -- I put 3 HDMI cables through and it started getting a bit tight. Not sure why they don't make them with bigger/multiple openings.
You'll save a lot of money doing this yourself, but don't be surprised if you hit some hurdles along the way. But the kit itself is worth it, especially if you get a good deal on it.Read full review

Nice Wall Mounted TV Power Kit
The Legrand HT2202 power kit fit as expected. This gives a nice clean look to providing power and signal to a wall mounted TV. There was plenty of power cord extension to go from bottom to top of run. The parts fit together well and the instructions were easy to follow. Only issue is the opening in bottom plate for the RJ cable does not close once the cable is in. Read full review
Easy to install and a great value
My husband humored me and installed this on my living room tv. It was easy for him to install, and looked professsionally installed for a fourth of the price. We enjoyed it so much and the price was so reasonable, we ordered two more for two of our bedrooms.Read full review

This is a great product for Wall monting TV!
This is excelant product for tv mounting! no need to tie into existing electrical. The only con I have is that the extension cord provided for plugging into the existing outlet in wall should have had flat right angle plugs. These plugs do not allow you to push your furniture close to the wall...However not a deal breaker.Read full review

wire kit
good kit for the price, no issues with install, if your handy and understand the concept of mounting TVs. only issue I see if bottom AV opening is kind of small. but is fine for a couple hdmi cords. probably would be tight with multiple wires. also AC plug sits out kind of far, would have been nice if they did a 90 degree or slim style. overall good product and does the job hiding wires.Read full review

A Great In-Wall Cable Routing Accessory
A well built product for hiding power and data cable for wall mounted TV. The product is sturdy. Very easy to install. Has a very nice appearance on the wall. I like the duplex receptacle, one for the TV, the other for the sound bar. Once mounted, it looks very professional.Read full review

Clever Design
Seems very well made, was easy to install and, even though you can't see it, really looks professional. There are two minor complaints. The openings on the side for the various cables you might run could be bigger and easier to pull them through. Also, you must push the female end of the power cord into the male outlet plug very hard to ensure that it engages. Those things aside, I give it five stars because it is a very elegant solution to the in-wall cable issue.Read full review

Professional results yet easy to install.
I was concerned after reading reviews but had no difficulties in installing. Just located studs within wall and made sure to keep away as the recessed part behind the tv sticks out due to outlet being angled. I took my time and put tape on wall to mark cut lines. It came out great and was very easy to do.Read full review
