Softer than the original mounts

I wouldn't recommend these unless your drivetrain somehow doesn't have enough slop for you.
They are significantly softer than the original factory mounts.
The metal plates at either end are also smaller, not covering the entire end as the originals do, so the locating notch is in the rubber section.

In short, although Lemforder are OE equipment in some areas, this is not one of them. These are just bog standard aftermarket fascimiles.
You can get factory ones from bmw for less, I've now discovered; ring them up. I paid about £9 each for these from autodoc as I was ordering other parts anyway so the delivery charge wasn't a factor.

I only changed them because I recently replaced the engine mounts which were pretty tired, and although that tightened up the overall feel, it caused slightly increased gearstick vibration/ movement, making me think the old transmission mounts were now taking all the slack and needed refreshing too. Changing these actually made this issue worse, and the little shimmy when starting/ stopping the engine was now more pronounced, whereas with just the new engine mounts this had smoothed out considerably.

I might get the E46 M3 ones to replace these now as they fit in almost all E series cars and are just slightly firmer. 034 ones look a similar product. Don't fancy poly, and the weird harmonics and NVH they introduce. My car deserves better treatment at this time in it's life..
