The 'DREAM' cast performing Les Mis. As the title implies- Simply the best!

I bought this DVD to replace a VHS video which I loved. The cast of the 10 year anniversary concert is brilliant with Colm Wilkinson as Valjean and Philip Quast as Inspector Javert, also Jenny Galloway and Alun Armstrong as the Thenardiers & Michael Ball as Marius - absolutely perfect casting. There is nothing to dislike about this version of Les Miserables, it's simply superb. And, at the culmination there is a parade of Valjeans from all over the world who come on stage and sing. It's interesting to hear the different types of voices who have played the role of Valjean in other countries of the world. I would recommend this version to anyone who loves the music from Les Miserables.Read full review...

A memorable experience, not miserable at all

I have never seen Les Miserables all the way through and wanted to enjoy the experience. I must say it was enthralling
and the ending with the different nationalities singing in their own language is breathtaking.
A great DVD which I would recommend to anyone who likes good singing and enjoyment, and seeing some of the cast in such different roles than you normally expect (Alun Armstrong) was intriguing!

Best version ever

Forget the film version. The stage version is without doubt, the best ever. They could not have picked a better cast. Absolutly amazing from start to finish.

DVD was as described, brand new unopened and at a very good price.

I purchased this as a present for my wife and she has not had the chance to try it yet. She has wanted to see Les Miserables for a long time and as it's difficult to get to London to see the show I thought that this would be a way of getting around the problem.
