Amazing!!!!!!

I normally don’t write reviews but for this I needed to. This piece of tech has everything. I know there are other models out there but this one definitely does the trick. I use this for everything from taking my dog out at night too using it for work. The battery lasts ridiculously long, the flashlight is an amazingly useful feature. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good thermal device at a reasonable price range. I have used this next to a $6000 FLIR and can honestly say this works better. The multiple color palettes let’s you pick the right one for the mission at hand. Leopold is an amazing company with an even more amazing warranty, 5 years on the electronic components. You will not find that anywhere else. There is an HD version of this product that I have seen, yes it is a little clearer but honestly not that noticeable for what I use it for and most people would use it for. The only thing that does have that I wish this model did is the zoom function. Other than that they are the same product. Not as expected

Tried to track a deer, was picking up water which thought was blood. It does not pick up thermal image behind objects such as trees or bushes. I do not believe it will pick up thermal images up to 300 yards unless there are absolutely no obstructions in the way including long grasses. Did pick up thermal images within 30 yards. Par for the corse

It seems to be a fairly good unit, but like everything it has its ups and downs. On the up side, that I like is you can hold your hogleg in your shooting hand and thermo in the other, that way you can track you dangerous game and when you get to a comfortable distance you can one figure the flash light and blast away. Safely. The other thing I like is when you have a monocular and you take it from your eye, that eye takes time to focus, not good for dangerous game. The down side is that it says the battery life is 10hrs in the discription ---- not so, factory says about 4hrs, disappointing. Lightweight with great features

TOTALLY AWESOME!! I am addicted to using it. We have woods behind us and I use it to make sure nothing is out there before I let the dogs out. We have a huge fence but they just go nuts if deer or anything else is back there. I also used it when a cat went missing and they love to hide. My main reason for having it is because I do animal rescue. So I am very pleased with and the battery lasts quite a while. Next I want to get the binoculars to assist for close ups. This one does have a good distance range and I love the many options for viewing. Not sure why there is a red and yellow screen but I just move past those options.
I also love the compactness of it. I keep it in a little protective bag with the lens cloth. It is super easy to use and you can even take a picture of what you are seeing.
All in all I am totally happy with this and I was able to get a great deal on Ebay during the bidding.

Fun toy

I like it bc I can look in backyard for animals before Intake my dog out. It has some nice options to it as well in terms of different displays. The flashlight is fairly bright. I wouldn’t recommend for most hunting trips though. You would have to be in a stand looking down to see anything. For the price it’s a fun toy. Read full review

This is a great thermal viewer

I have had several pieces of thermal vision. Some have cost thousands of dollars. For the relatively small price charged this is superior to all of them in some ways. It is equal to them in all ways except for the relatively small viewing screen. The manufacturer is a class outfit and the device will make any reasonable person happy. You can see a deer sized object at a thousand yards. You have the choice of many color palettes that make live heat-producing creatures stand out in the night. First Time Thermal User

Since this is my first experience with a thermal device I can’t really offer an opinion on value for the money or compare it to other devices. What I can say is that I was able to pick up deer at 150 yds at last light when I couldn’t see them with the naked eye, but with enough light to pick them up with my rifle scope. That was what I wanted to accomplish with the unit and it met all my expectations. I was fully satisfied with the price and performance and would recommend it to anyone for that use.Read full review
