Printer is much bigger that the A4 colour laser it's replacing. Two strong men at least to move it. It comes on a pallett. I also purchased some appliance rollers so it can be pulled out £18.00. It has Airprint and Google Cloud print as stated, but it took me a while to realise it needs to connect to your Wifi Hub via an RJ45 cable to wprint wirelessly or buy the Wifi card. Very keen price, Quality is great, I am looking forward to getting some 300gsm stock to prints some cards. 160gsm smooth stock looks lovely. Cheap to purchase, so cheap to run.
Purchased on an eBay shop new for under £170. It's a BIG printer and not really a desktop model but has duplex and large paper tray.
Had problems with it initially which required Lexmark support to apply a different level of firmware. Since then, it works fine.
Came with toners which are said to do 6000 pages but had to replace the black toner at 3900 pages and the yellow one has now gone at 4200 pages with the magenta one following close behind.
I have found that the genuine Lexmark toners are extremely expensive at around £650 per set (4) with compatibles on eBay at around £80 - £90 each but these mostly have to be shipped from the states at additional cost.
A set of 4 Photoconductor units seem also expensive at @ £140 and supposedly have a 20,000 page life.
No wonder there are a few of these printers available currently on eBay second hand for very little money which are like new but need new cartridges and/or photoconductor units.
So, taking into account the high cartridge and photoconductor replacement costs, I would not recommend this printer.Read full review...
