Liberon Review
Good coverage great for cast iron fireplaces advisable to wear protective gloves as can get messy when applying but worth the effort does not take long to make the fireplace look brand new

Lack lustre finish. Waste of time.
Very unimpressed with this product for the money and amount and also the finish it is really poor. I have only done the mantle piece on a stripped cast fire surround and im leaving it at that I'll find something else to finish the rest as this product imho is rubbish.Read full review

Use to restore antique cast iron fireplace
Restored an old cast iron fireplace that had previously been painted with white gloss paint. After hours of scraping any remaining scraps of paint were easily covered with the Liberon paste. Put on with a cloth, leave for half an hour or so and buff up with a soft cloth. Gives a lovely metallic sheen and fireplace now looks like it has just left the original Victorian factory.Read full review

Amazing product
First time using this product on a revamped cast iron bedroom fireplace which had been stripped of white paint and sanded. Could not be easier to use Applied with cotton cloth. Left 5 to 6 hours and buffed with another cotton cloth to reveal a graphite coloured sheen to enhance the cast iron. Amazing product which goes a long way. Only used just over a 3rd of a 250ml tin. Sadly don't seem to be able to upload a photoRead full review

Fantastic product!
I used this to transform a 1930s tiled fireplace into a mock Victorian one using anaglypta wallpaper. The result has been amazing and this product has made the fireplace look like metal. Highly recommend. Before and after pictures attached. Read full review

Works well on cast material. Not so sure...
Works well on cast material. Not so sure about on steel. Wanted to use it on some angle but not sure if it's porous enough maybe if I let it weather it would work better. But ideal on cast.

Excellent finish once dry.
Follow the instructions and allow plenty of setting time and buff off with a cloth and/or shoe brush. The finish is excellent, leaving a slightly more gunmetal finish than other grate black products.

Good finish
Gives a good finish. When i reeived the product it seemed to suggest that it was for decorative use. I used it on an old openfire which had been restored. I actually use the fire to burn coal, so time will tell if it is suitable.Read full review
