Great fit!
These covers are an exact fit (tight) in the factory bumper cut-outs. Advice: My truck is older and the original housings were brittle - Recommend you disconnect the harness socket leading into this housing (behind bumper) BEFORE trying to remove or pry out the old cover. Otherwise, you could be replacing the housing and a damaged socket receptacle which would involve splicing/re-wiring onto the harness pigtail and more expense. Direct replacement Chevy/GMC license plate lens cover
These license plate lens covers were the same as on my 2008 Chevy pickup.
They were easy to install, took about five minutes. I went ahead and replaced the incandescent bulbs
with LED bulbs while I had the covers off. The covers snap in and snap out. You just need to make sure
you point the light towards the license plate because at first I had it pointed the wrong way and it would not
click into place. The bulb holders install into the lens cover by rotating clockwise and un-install by rotating counter-clockwise. The bulbs slide or plug straight in. They are not the twist type bulbs. I used needle nose pliers to remove a broken bulb.Read full review

I was surprised to find someone had stolen one of my license plate light assemblies from the rear bumper but I found perfect fit new lens replacements from Dorman and the other small parts I needed (socket w/bulb and lamp assembly) from a local salvage yard very cheap.
