Released in August in 2007 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the passing of Elvis Presley in 1977, Paramount Home Entertainment issued this remarkable 8-disc DVD boxed set featuring 8 of his movies that he made for that studio, and were released to theaters from 1958 to 1967. The films included are; "King Creole", with Elvis as Danny Fisher, a hot-shot nightclub singer in New Orleans in what is considered by many people to be his finest screen role. "G.I. Blues" a fictionalized take on Elvis' military service, playing Tulsa McLean who serves in Germany with a rock 'n' roll combo. "Blue Hawaii", one of his most popular films, as Chad Gates who much prefers life as a beach comber instead of joining his father's business. "Girls! Girls! Girls!", as fisherman Ross Carpenter who juggles his life with tuna boat fishing, nightclub singing and 2 lovely ladies. "Fun In Acapulco", as Mike Windgren, a former trapeze artist who decides to get over his fear of heights by making a spectacular high-dive. "Roustabout", as Charlie Rogers, a motorcycle-riding singer who becomes a sensation on the carnival circuit. "Paradise, Hawaiian Style", as Rick Richards, a charter service helicopter pilot who helps save his partner from a near-fatal accident. "Easy Come, Easy Go", as Ted Jackson, a former Navy frogman who goes on a quest for buried treasure. For True Fans Only!

I felt this collection had the best of the Elvis movies contained in it. I searched for quite awhile looking for dvd's and this was by far the better value. Many Elvis movies for one simple price. Wonderful addition to my collection (or to start one). Highly recommend as a must-have for any true fan!
I haven't watched them all yet, but on the days when I have down-time, they are a definite pick-me-up when I just want to relax to a simpler place and time and with a guy that always gave me entertainment.
