I have had this for quite a while now and after playing about with it at the beginning have found it to be very affective for me.
good quality and if looked after will last.

Tip: fill 3/4 max' of the ball, pull it over the tap head until the head is inside the ball, then when on securely pull it again so that the tap head is virtually at the bottom of the ball and leave to soak.
if you over fill the ball it will either over spill/squirt out or prevent you from getting the tap head to near the bottom of the ball and covering the tap head with the solution.

Worth trying

The product fits well on modern round taps but you have to make sure there’s no air trapped inside and the tap is actually sitting in the lime scale solution. Unfortunately it’s not such a good fit on the traditional oval type taps, I have both types of tap.Read full review

Innovative Idea

This is a great little gadget that really works very well. It is only as good as the de-scaling fluid you use. It is a very soft silicon material that is very flexible and stretchy, so will fit over a variety of taps.
The hole in the tab is so you can loop it over your fluid bottle for storage.
The only con I have found is that it is a bit more tricky for regualr straight taps, but it still works well.
Not cheap, but better than messing about with a plastic bag and rubber bands. :)Read full review

The Limey certainly does the job, descaling the tap end and filters very well. I would advise taking great care when fitting the full Limey to the tap, slide it smoothly into place, try to avoid any jerks and spillage of the descaler liquid. Well made and it works! Less hassle than paper towels, cling film and rubber bands!

It works well, is strong and should last a long time. I've done 5 taps in the house with this and it did its job. The tap in the kitchen was horizontal (in fact a slight upward angle) and no conventional "down spout", but I still got it to fit securely.

I'd previously tried using an ordinary balloon - but that was unsuccessful - it split before I could get it securely attached. I have used soaked paper towels (in white vinegar) with cling film and rubber bands in the past - this worked pretty well, but is messy and time consuming and still costs something to set up.Read full review

Most useful for awkward limescale removal
