Good value for money, comfortable, easy to store.
I had put off buying noise cancelling headphones for myself as I don't fly often and I couldn't justify the expense, however, I saw these and the great reviews and thought I would try them knowing it was not a huge amount of money to waste. I have yet to use them in a plane but used them loads on a recent 2000 mile driving holiday (only when as a passenger!) The are great at taking the edge of road noise etc and I often used them with no music, just as noise reduction (sleeping aid). Frankly they are great and wished I had got them earlier. One note to check is that you fit them properly to avoid pulsing feedback (not a big problem). The rest of the family also like them, but they are mine!Read full review

Headphones joy
Really pleased with these headphones - I hadn't heard of the make before but had seen that they had won several awards. The sound quality is excellent, they are comfortable to wear and fairly lightweight. The noise cancelling feature is very easy to use too. Would recommend.Read full review

Very good for the price
These noise cancelling headphones are a good buy for the price.
Having played with a colleagues Bose headphones, I can say that the performance of the Lindy NC-40 is not as good as headphones in the £200+ range, but the effectiveness is more than adequate for my primary purpose, which is for air travel.
The low frequency noise which is a problem for air passengers is dealt with very well by these headphones* allowing me to listen to musing at a much lower level. Wearing them even when not listening to anything allows me to arrive at my destination less fatigued than without noise cancelling.
I did once try a £20 pair of headphones with active noise cancelling, but they introduced a hum which rather defeated the object of them!
Given that I might, one day, leave these on a plane - I am glad that I have found something that works for me at this price range rather than at £200-£300.
The purchase referenced here was actually a second pair, for my daughter. She complains that they can't be comfortably worn around the neck when not in use - being a little tight for that. This is true - although I do not find it a problem for my application. I tend to put them away in my courier bag when not using them.
-----------------------------------------
* Simply because low-frequency cancellation is easier to do, from a technical point of view. It is simply a matter of introducing some anti-phase noise from the environment and phase shift is not very critical. At high frequencies, pase delays become an issue - which is why expensive headphones contain a microcontroller with a Digital Signal Processor. Hence the steep price.Read full review

Great for airline flights.
I have travelled with low-cost noise cancelling headphones on long haul air flights for many years, but eventually the headphones needed replacement. These Lindy NC-40 headphones are over ear, for maximum long-haul comfort and noise exclusion. The supplied plug fits into my iPhone 5s and works well. The travel pouch also contains the 2-prong airline adapter essential for airline seats, and there is also a large adapter to plug into hi-fi, amplifiers etc. These are wired headphones with no bluetooth.Read full review

Nice sounding headphones with good noise cancelling features.
Nice sound, Easily stored and carried around, good battery life and whilst the noise cancelling may not be as good as some much more expensive units, it is sufficient to supress most background noises such as drones, engine noises etc.
Purchased for one the go study, the closed cup design reduces sound leakage in quiet environments and the Noise Cancelling helps reduce annoying and often distracting sounds in public spaces or offices.
My only negative is the supplied 3.5mm jack lead is a little bit short, so I purchased a seperate premium longer anti-tangle lead to compliment the unit for use on the go.Read full review
good sound reproduction all round and great to wear.
good sound reproduction all round and great to wear. I was surprised by the quality of these especially at this price. I can not fault them...yet. I just hope they do not start falling apart like my last phones, which i paid 6 times as much for. :)Read full review

Heads Up!
For the price there is no complaint. I cannot nor would not spend £300 on a pair of headphones. Nonetheless, apart from the vacuum sound in my ears, they did a fair job and apart from the battery falling out at the side of one ear because it would not snap shut, I will soldier onRead full review
