Neat bit of kit
Bought this because I have an iMac and not all are compatible with Apple iOS but this unit works is and also Linus os as well as windows, it is very compact and quiet running also no software needed to be installed, found it was designed by Philips in conjunction with Lite-On and at about £26 a fair price.Read full review

Generic or Genuine ?
As I used the SATA lead for an extra SSHD I needed a USB DVD writer.
I have tested it and it feels well made, and I think that it is probably a more reliable piece of kit than a generic writer.
