good for miniature horses and pony's too.

These feeders are great for miniature horses for slow feeding and a place to put their gain as well. They are smaller in size and don't take up a whole lot of space. I like the fact that it catches a lot of the alfalfa chaff so no too much hay is wasted. There are a couple of drawbacks though. they have a few sharp edges around the corners and the horses like to rub on them, and they don't have hooks or a place to hook them from the bottom and when the mini pulls the hay they clang on the bars of the stall. so it gets a bit noisy at feeding time. keep an eye on the bolts too. be sure they are on tight and checked once in a while or they come loose and can be swallowed. otherwise, they are great, just wish they weren't so expensive or I would have a barn full.Read full review
