Live at Pompeii by David Gilmour (CD, 2017)

It's not more of the same.

This is a great live album. Gilmour hasn't just taken the songs as are from Rattle That Lock and performed them live, there are enough differences in the sound, singing and arrangements to make this a worthwhile listen.
Same goes with the Pink Floyd sections. I thought okay, another live Shine On You Crazy Diamond, but it is different. He's back to the rockier vocals on the singing parts, rather than the gentle approach he did on Live at Gdansk and it is different in it's parts. What Do You Want From Me has a very different sound and singing approach.
Run Like Hell has a heavier sound and maniacal laughter section.
Another different version of the guitar solo on Comfortably Numb.
Money has a nice jam section in it.

Past his sell-by date

Whilst the tracks were typical floyd, unfortunately David Gilmours voice has gone, along with his upper register. Good to hear to old songs again, but they are much better on the originals

It compares well with the Pink Floyd Pompeii performance (which I also have on Video) and it is pleasant to watch. Plays well on my DVD Player, and as a Floyd Fan, this was up to standard!
