Bright Light !!

Nice compact battery charger that plugs straight into a normal UK 13A socket. Two charging bays, each of which will charge either 2 AAs (@200mA), 2 AAAs (@100mA) or 1 9V (@20mA).
Note: the AA and AAA batteries have to be charged in pairs.

One small thing... Charging is indicated by the two insanely bright blue LEDs which are genuinely the brightest I have ever seen in my life, painful to look at, and will limit the number of places where you can plug the thing in.

Don’t expect too much.

Although this charger is suitable for 3 types of battery, some knowledge is still necessary. One can use it for AA, AAA and PP3 batteries. I wouldn’t try more than one type at a time. So it’s up to 4 AA or AAA or 2 PP3. You need to know the charging rate of the charger and the formula for working out the charging time of batteries based on the amperage shown on them. The lights on the charger give no indication when batteries are fully charged. And you’re talking hours. An AA battery will probably take around 4 hours but a PP3 will probably need about 13. When charging PP3 batteries, make sure that they are properly connected. If a battery can move when apparently connected, it isn’t enough.Read full review...

Does what it is supposed to.

It does what it is supposed to do and cheaply,
As my previous one packed in I wanted one quick and as cheap as possible and this suited the bill.
The charge times are a bit long though and it does lack an indicator to tell you the batteries have fully charged but for the price it presently does what I want it to.Read full review...

Cheap and cheerful

So far no problems with it, but we've not had it for long. Fits AA and AAA, which is good, but has no led indicator to let you know when batteries are fully charged, so you have to go by timing, which is less good.Read full review...

Old Style with slow charging - better for the batteries

Bought this charger because I am used to the old style and wanted something with no electronics to fail as my old one was very similar and lasted about 12 years before I killed it accidentally.
>Love the fact that it has LEDs for the two groups receiving charge. This helps me determine how much it needs to charge as they are lit very bright when battery is empty. When full charge is near the LEDs go dim and almost switch off.

The charger is very light (much lighter than my old one) which indicates it has newer charging circuit but no idea if this will translate into longevity (which is the main thing a care about).

I like the flexibility as the charger allows you to charge for ex. 1AA + 1AAA in a pair. A pair is the minimum needed for charging (just as the old ones) and it cannot charge a single battery.

Just as slow to charge as my old one which is about around 10hrs for flat batts but I am fine with the waiting time as never in a rush and also that way the batteries last longer (allows more charging cycles if charging is slow).Read full review...

Compact Charger

It's reasonably compact considering it can hold either four double a or four triple a batteries at one time. It also has the ability to charge some 9 volt pp3 batteries as well, which is a bonus. Most kof the batteries charge in 4-5 hours. A good little charger at a reasonable price.Read full review...

Inexpensive Battery Charger

Charges both AA and AAA Good charger at a good price. No indicator when batteries are charged (you need to note time taken which is advised on product info.) Still good value for money.

LLoytron-B1505 battery charger

I have only used it once since receiving it so am not really in a position to say too much.

I will say it took longer than first said to arrive, other than that I cannot really comment

Excellent quality recharger

So easy to charge batteries. I was using too many ordinary batteries for my mouse. I was changing new ones every couple of days. Time to buy rechargeable. Buy this with confidence and know you will always have batteries to hand.Read full review...

Simple bit of kit and great at it's job.

It is one of those things that just sits there waiting to be great. Quiet and unassuming with nothing to do until... pop goes the remote or the torch or whatever and the batteries have flattened. So you just pop them out and shove them easily into the slots and plug it in and that's it. Noting could be simpler. Wait until the red light is out - I usually come back to it the next day and it's done. I've not tried it with a square 9v battery but I have doubt it all went well. This is a good sturdy bit of kit. Worth the money. For me - good value for money. Thanks.Read full review...
