Will outlast you
If you want a cooking utensil that will outlast you, any Lodge Ironware will do. They are made in an old-fashioned way, where very high quality materials are used - American Iron!
Season them properly and don't use washing up liquid. I scrape any residues off with a spatula under a running hot tap - works wonders - then dry over a medium heat and remember to turn the heat off! A quick splash of rapeseed oil and a rub-over with kitchen towel to remove the excess and you are good to go.
Please bear in mind there's a lot of cheap Chinese metal imports around - ignore them, the metal is crap, you want Lodge.
Yes they're heavy, yes the handles get piping hot, but for versatility, well, they can't be beaten, and if you were ever broken into, this is what you'd defend yourself with!

Very good piece of kitchenware
The only disadvantage is that I am using it on an induction hob and have to be very careful not to scratch the hob as the bottom of the pan is a bit rough (as the manufacturer warns.)
