Good quality budget webcam, very suitable for Skype

This is a budget webcam offering video at as good a definition as Skype needs, no novel features, just does what is needed for that type of application. True plug & play, set up.

Reliable, decent picture and sound, easy to use and enhanced with the free Logitech camera software.

I have used this camera type previously as part of my office setup and found them to be good, reliable cameras with decent picture and microphone quality. Now I am WFH as a self-employed business, I bought my own and found them to be sensibly priced too. The free Logitech camera software is worthy of downloading. Once installed the software increases versatility and improves the overall package. No annoying popups from Logitech to upgrade this and buy that either :). Read full review...

Excellent value

Does exactly what is says on the box. Good clear picture, my wife uses it for. Brownies and they all say the clarity is excellent. No need to buy a more expensive one when this does a very good job, and so easy to set up, no fuss.Read full review...

A simple and effective webcam that does everything needed.

I was perfectly happy with my old Microsoft "cam" until Microsoft made changes in Windows 10 that killed it outright! So, to keep in touch with my family and friends, it had to be replaced.

Unfortunately due to the lockdown everybody wanted "cams" and the prices rocketed which prevented me from getting the 4K version I really wanted - so I opted for the far simpler C270.

Remarkably it was a simple matter to install and the PC recognised it instantly with no difficulty. Whilst it is not 4K it produces pretty decent images and sound which is more than sufficient for meeting people on Skype or Teams.

I've always used Logitech products and have never had issues with their quality or ease of set-up.

Excellent

It was actually yes and no re easy to set up! You needed to go to the website to find the software to download (and it took at bit of finding). That's the only downside. But after that, very easy. And very easy to use (just plug into USB). The image is too good - I have to put the light on behind me (not in front) so it's more flattering (rather than all the details)! I'd definitely recomend it - particularly with the price. Read full review...

Sound good, lack of auto-focus bad, clip average, overall OK

No auto-focus means that the camera is out of focus on my monitors so you need to open the fascia and adjust the focus manually and even then it doesn't seem to be great. The image quality is higher resolution than a laptop webcam but not as sharp.

Sound is great. Given how old this is an the price it sells in the US I'd expect to get it for 10-15 GBP rather than 30.

The clip onto the monitor is OK though if you can't be positioned exactly in front of it (say, if you have two monitors and you need to put the clip on one but you often look between them) then you'll look a bit funny on conference calls and often even when using a single (large) screen with Teams plus a document on it other people on the call will see me "not looking" at them.

Does a good job for the price.

Easy peasy to set up though you have to get some info from the makers website. Seems pretty easy to use and quality of images not at all bad.You need to remember to turn it off when finished otherwise unit can get quite hot. apart from that no issues at all.Read full review...

An excellent web cam but ...

I bought this as a webcam for my desktop PC.
it was a dream to set up and get running - worked straight out of the box with Win 10 no problems.
My only gripe is that the field of view was narrower than I expected (on the basis of prior experience with a laptop webcam).
at a range of ~2'6" (or 75cm) is gives a head and shoulders view. The old lap top gave down to my waist at a smaller range. That was ideal from the field of view perspective, it was not a very good image though.
This webcam gives great quality, it's 720p at the expense of a much narrow field of view.
On balance I'm okay (or more with it), but might consider getting a more wide-angle cam later.

Good for the money

It's easy to set up as long as you don't look for a set-up disc...there isn't one and the instructions do not make that clear...all you do is download from the Logitech web site. I still don't know how to revert to it from my Toshiba laptop as the Toshiba inbuilt camera comes on automatically. The idea of buying the Logitech was so that I can position it to show things behind the laptop...but until I find out how to turn off the in built and use the Logitech I'm stumped.Read full review...
