Have the satellites or know what you're doing!

There is only one port for audio input and it's a cable that only comes with the satellite speakers and only connects to the satellite speakers. I bought a similar connector (without the cable attached) and an aux cord and was able to connect it to my computer speakers with an audio splitter but if you don't have the satellites or don't have a soldering iron and plenty of Googling skills it won't work by itself.

Other than that the audio is fantastic and has the full range specified in the description. It does a good job of rounding out the audio from my existing computer speakers.

This is a case where newer doesn't mean better. these older ones out shine the reat

This particular self powered set is so powerful ,and clear that this is my 3rd set. Construction is nearly unbreakable. It has one weak point and that is the "D" plug that connects the two speakers to the bass where the power is transfered.'
The power and clearity is top notch ,I have owned many later models from the same company , but somewhere along the way they got lost. even they're latest comparable set is no contest.
Aparently you can not blow these up? as I said the only weakness is the "D" plug
A bit of advise??? never try to open the bass in hopes of fixing the "D" plug , if you screwed it up ? by miss plugging try to straighten the pins. If you open it it's done.
