Just what I needed
This bag is smaller than I expected, but it fits 5 7.62x39mm magazines quite well, without allowing much room for flopping around which is nice!
The shoulder strap is adjustable, and the back loops support even a pretty thick belt to keep this bag from flopping all over the place when running, maneuvering, etc.
I'm not speaking of airsoft crap here, this is the real deal Chinese military Type-56 (The Chinese version of the AKM) issued magazine carrier. It will probably fit 30-round magazines of other kinds, but I wouldn't recommend it for that as it's special tailored for the Russian-style 30-round AK mags, with their specific banana-style shape. This will also hold 5.45x39mm magazines just as well.
+++Excellent build, tough and no mold or mildew, has the beautiful army surplus smell to it (which I love)
+++No plastic or metal bits except for the shoulder-strap adjuster, wooden toggles and canvas mean quiet maneuvering, no clanking or light reflection which meets military standards for field use.
+++Side pouches for oil/grease bottle and cleaning kit, meaning those of us with AKMS rifles and folding stocks can store our cleaning stuff in a nice place.
+++150 rounds in x5 30-round magazines. This means you can throw this on and have a full infantry supply for the standard soldier. Great for range, trips too...
-- Toggles can take some practice to utilize quickly, that's the only negative I can come up with currently.
-- Will not fit SKS strip-mags, so stop asking, people. There are special bandoleers/carriers for the SKS, look for those.
Great seller, got me exactly what I needed/wanted and in terrific condition, still has the 1986 Chinese PLA stamps on it clear as day... A good sign when it's older than me and basically brand-new.Read full review

Type 56 AK Magazine Shoulder pouch.
I bought this shoulder pouch to have as a quick grab and go for AR magazines. This shoulder bag pouch will hold 5 AR Pmags nicely, it will hold 7 of the old style GI aluminum magazines no problem. The material is very thick canvas.Read full review

Surplus 5 Mag Pouch
It's a surplus item and it holds a large amount of mags considering the standard max for a pouch being about four. Material is high quality and comes marked with year of origin and Chinese characters for authenticity. Good buy for collectors and shooters alikeRead full review

Decent bag but verify
Quality of the materials are good but a couple of days after arrival one of seams started to come undone. Had to break out a needle and thread, so it was good, just not great.

It's genuine ChiCom surplus, it fits a variety of military-issue AK magazine, and it has solid sewing.
Great mag pouch
Great mag pouch for the money. I have owned many like this, both commercial and military surplus. This one is the same as the others.
