A WORLD AWAY FROM TODAY'S FOOTBALL
I visited a lot of the old grounds shown in the book, I started watching football aged 3 in 1953 at Burnden Park Bolton, only reserve matches back then and I was at the last match played there before Bolton Wnds moved to their new stadium. It's a good book but the content will only interest the long standing, "real" footy fans, not the ones used to going to the new Arsenal, Man City, Leicester City, West Ham etc, the new "soul less" and over expensive venues. The world changes as does football but this a good book to make sure the past is not forgotten.Read full review...
