Clean, Family Adventure. Space version of Swiss Family Robinson

This is a wonderful, delightful "remake" of Swiss Family Robinson. Instead of on an island, this family is (as the title says) "Lost in Space." Despite misadventures and problems, as a family they stick together...even trying to do good to Dr. Smith (who is under their grace and deserves none of the good shown). It shows family love and even love of troublemakers. Yet, it also shows that "trouble making" won't be tolerated. All must stick together. Great blend! A+ movie! The remake fell short, in my opinion. It totally recast the characters as misfits, disjointed family, etc. The original TV version (to me) is the best. Some call it corny...but I saw the good the show was trying to get across (even if the critics could not see it or refused to see it). Highly Recommended!!! Read full review

So happy with my remastered set.

This is a wonderful set. I have the Blu-ray set, which is awesome, but I like my TV screen to be filled. I also have the original Lost In Space DVD set that came out around 2000 or earlier. It is a great set and I thought was really clear until compared to the Blu-ray set. With this set, you get a high quality picture, almost as clear as the Blu-ray, but you get the full screen effect like with the older DVD set. These are very nice transfers but it’s annoying to me that they did not preserve the original aspect ratio of 4:3, which is how all old TV shows were seen. Why should this be “widescreen?” Otherwise these are great.Read full review
