Robust for price - good starter lathe
This is a good robust item for it's price - no nasty plastic handles etc - and is a great starter kit for a beginner or occasional hobbyist.
Having said that, the bad points are:
The instructions are virtually non existent and you will need to use forums and u-tube to find out almost everything!
The tools provided are very basic, have no introduction and would benefit from a good honing before use.
The adjustable speed feature requires you to stop and unplug the machine, undo two screws, open the motor compartment and fiddle about with pully's and belts!
Eight bolts and dextrous hands are required to fix the lathe to your bench.
The join in the bed will require grinding level to allow the tail stock to move freely along it - and it also requires a lot of fiddling with if the work-piece needs the tail stock to be tightened at the join.
Apart from this the machine delivers a lovely turn, runs smoothly and is fairly quiet when running. I am very happy with it for the price and look forward to many hours of making wood curls!!

As good as the image!
It's really good and really industrial looking. Length is about 4 foot. 4 different speeds which are easily changeable. Easy to assemble and easy use! Brilliant for first timers! No need to take pictures as it is exactly as it looks in the image, no lies or facades with this product.Read full review

Great item, machine is well worth the money. plenty of scope for wood turning.
Only problem is that chisels that came with it are really rubbish and in fact a bit dangerous. and should not really be used as they tend to melt on the tips. very low grade steel.
Lathe
Good for the price paid ,
Changing belt speed is a bit of a kerfuffle
Tools that come with it are rubbish .so invest in some of better quality.
But over all machine is good for a beginner to learn on.👍

Good lathe .
Good lathe for the money .Well put together and heavy enough not to move about .I havnt got any vibration on mine and its very smooth and quiet .The chisels that came with it are ok to get you going but cant see them lasting long .Overall a good quality starter lathe and can not fault it for the price .Read full review

A well made item.
It is well made and, with the bed extension, long items can be turned, but it has only 4 fixed speeds..
