This film should be watched a few times, notice everything!!

It painted a picture of a little known war, much like Europe, but very different due to the Japanese occupation having been ongoing for a long time. I think it was maybe more like the British occupation in India. The Japanese looked down on the Chinese, much like the British looked down on the Indians. This "thriller" is 2 hours and 20 minutes long - it seems much longer. The "caution" of the title is much in evidence, with a plot that moves like a geriatric snail. Even near the beginning I started to doze off. There are good performances here and some decent drama with good photography and period feel.
