Hygenic toilet seat.
The soft close mechanism is effective but as new the lid and seat close and lift together = needs two hands to adjust - so remember if you're in a rush - but I expect with use this may rectify itself.
Its well made and excellent value.
The lift off feature works well and is a big hygene plus.
It's a comfy reading seat if you wish to relax and fits well ( to the bowl of course !)

Shifting seat
It looks good and the soft close is a welcome feature but the securing mechanism isn't up to the job. The seat tends to swivel at its two screw anchor points. I cannot tighten the holding screws sufficiently to stop the seat moving even after at least 10 attempts of removing/unlocking the lid to make the two holding screws secure. No instructions came with my delivery. I've ensured that the underside nylon/plastic locking arrangement is correctly positioned. The Philips metal screw heads have now sheared under the tightening effort. Even the slotted screwdriver heads are now starting to shear. Despite this the seat still swivels on use. This could be dangerous and hurt the user. If you are capable of tightening the two holding screws and the seat doesn't swivel on use then the product would be satisfactory. Loo seat
What can you really say about a loo seat other than quite often it can be hard to find one that is a good fit.. I went through many on eBay and other sites and found nothing until I hit on this one.. did the usual measuring and this one was pretty much what we needed.. its also easy to fit with just two plastic screws and nuts compared to the one I removed so all is good now for us when we sit upon our throne numerous times a day.. comfy bums are happy bums .. lol and if you have a bad seat it can be a real bummer..Read full review...

Worth a bit extra
We previously bought a cheaper toilet seat. It only lasted 2 weeks before the vinyl covering was cracking & the thin board encased in the vinyl on the underside had snapped.
This toilet seat is great!! It's a heavier construction, nicely padded, stronger vinyl covering. Just all round a better buy for £10 more & definitely worth the extra cost. Would definitely purchase it again, when needed. Thanks Read full review...

cheap but excellent value and looks good
This is a very cheap toilet seat and initially the plastic seems to be a poor quality, very light and almost translucent. However lets be realistic... it is very cheap!
Fittings worked really well and it looks surprisingly good with a perfect fit. Not sure if I would use it in a main bathroom or cloakroom but for an en-suite its excellent.
Would I buy one again... certainly yes!

As to the price absolutely no comparison with what the original manufacturer absurd quotes.
It is slightly less substantial in weight but really no problem and in all other respects a perfect fit with the original toilet bowl.
