Unit was DOA

After following a simple set of instructions the unit didn't work. The power light was on, but with the MCM unit between a Projector and a Harbinger Tower speaker [via adaptor connectors] it did not pass or control volume from Projector to Harbinger Tower Speaker. Audio source was a DVD player to the Projector, and audio was broken out by the Projector using 1/8" audio out jack. This has worked in the past, with the Projector audio out being fed to a Bose unit. I wanted better sound, but it didn't work.

Remote controlled volume/gain controller

Small size, easy to hookup and use. The only issue with the design,that I can find, is the glare from the blue indicator lamp. It's so bright that it is almost hypnotic. Holy bright!!!

Neat little Product

I use this to control the volumn from an older analog amplifier. Instead of running to the amp to adjust the volume, I use the MCM unit to adjust it from across the room.

The little credit card sized remote works okay, but I found that the Logitich Harmony remote will recognize the MCM box and I can use that instead to adjust the volume. In short, if you have a device with a manual volume control and you want to use a remote to control the volume instead, this little IR remote will do the trick.Read full review
