Quality as always from MSI

Bought 2 of these to upgrade my son's PC's from FX8350's to Ryzen 5 1600x's. The Bios is very nice, as expected from MSI. Wasn't looking for high end, but cheap & cheerful.

The negatives I've noticed is it only has 1 system fan pins, so you will have a hard time having the internal temp management system regulate the fan speed if temps get up. That said, I wasn't expecting high end, just something new, reliable & future proof in terms of the CPU's it supports.

Seen boards used on eBay for more & unless your obsessed with overclocking & squeezing every last fps out of the hardware as you can, why waste your money when you can buy one of these with warranty & the reliability MSI boards have. Read full review...

Worked right out of the box

Worked right out of the box. No need up upgrade Bios for a AMD Ryzen 2700x. Has option to upgrade Bios via USB too - i never tested this though.

Perfect for a budget AMD build

Paired with a AMD Ryzen 3200G (works out of the box) and 16gb Corsair Ram. A very capable budget gaming PC, runs Doom 2016 at 53fps, No Mans Sky at 37fps, GTA 5 30fps, Medium to high settings. All in £230 including case. This MB is the default AMD budget choice.Read full review...
