nice, but as always.... you pay for "nice"
Seems very durable, seems to be true by-passable. A handsome pedal and most importantly it sounds really good. But unfortunately I still think they are a little overpriced. Price is always subjective. Some people just have more money than others and don't care. Some people have money and still think things are expensive. I'm the latter of the two.
It's a nice, solid pedal, good reputation, used by many pros. Probably not to many out there much better in that price range. I'd buy used since they are durable enough to buy used and not abused. BobbyRead full review

MXR CarbonCopy review
I'm very pleased with this pedal. I had considered the new Bright pedal, but this really has opened up doors for my overall sound. Like all pedals, it is best subtly used. Because I play a Strat, I chose this over the Bright because my single coils are bright enough. I had read reviews that the pedal is dark but that has not been my experience. I haven't tweaked the modulation but I use a phase 90 anyway. Overall another MXR winner.Read full review

Brighter Now
If you are a fan of the original Carbon Copy, this is everything you love about it, only with brighter and clearer repeats. This is not to say that the repeats themselves are bright or clear in comparison with a digital delay, only brighter and clearer than the dark, hazy repeats of the Carbon Copy. Sounds like a Carbon Copy with a bit of a high-pass filter on it. Beautiful, warm, evolving repeats that sit in a slightly different place on the mix.Read full review

Worth it
This is easily a pedal to add to your board. It's simple and effective and gets the job done without screwing around with the sound (other than adding a delay of course). Also, the little modulation button is incredible and really makes a difference. If you're a guitar player I would recommend this pedal. (Guitar player here for about 12 years :) )Read full review

Perfect! High quality! Simple !!
The Carbon Copy delay, echo pedal by MXR is a great pedal for me. Simple to use. Very nice and useful function. It is high quality, noise-free true bypass and is perfect for praise band worship music that I play. There is no tap tempo like some other more advanced pedals. But for Sunday mornings it is perfect for a few songs in amateur setting. I like to keep it simple. But also use high quality gear. So this is perfect for me. I highly recommend it. I had it before and I recently just got it again. Recently put together new pedalboard. And this is a must have for me. With overdrive, and reverb. It really brings the solos to life. And perfect for U2 type delay. Read full review

Nice Price; Durable construction; excellent sound quality.
I remember back when the "rage" was Digital Delay. I also remember having an older Analog unit, and I always thought it sounded "better". Anyway, that was over 30 years ago. Now, fast forward to this delay unit.
MXR is an excellent pedal; and the price is right. I like the bright switch as well. Battery life is pretty good, too...But I use this board with a 9V adaptor now, anyway.
Excellent product.Read full review
Simple and elegent !
I have playing guitar for a long time but never actually owned a delay, despite wanting to for a long time.
The Carbon Copy is perfect for someone like me who wants a variety of good and analog delay sounds in a small compact enclosure, not diminishing of it's quality.
Get one, you won't regret it!! Keep rocking /,,/,Read full review

Warm Delay
If all you've used is digital delay then you have to try this pedal. If you've done your research then you know that all the best tend to like this pedal and when you hear it you'll know why. It's simlplicity is why it works plus it adds to your tone not covers it which is an important distinction. Make sure to play with the settings. I found that keeping the Regen knob at around 8 or 10 o'clock sounds the best. Happy tweaking and playing friends. Cheers.Read full review

Great and Aesthetically Beautiful, could use more options.
This pedal is great, though I wish I would have known about MXR's upgraded version, the MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe. Nonetheless, this pedal sounds great and looks wonderful. My only criticism is I wish there were more options as there is on the deluxe version that will definitly get my hands on at some point.

*Photo is older, by a few weeks, and does not have a few pedals currently in my chain, but it does have the MXR Carbon Copy.Read full review

excellent pedal, small footprint
I am very pleased with this delay pedal. It is easy to use and a variety of sound effects are possible. The bypass is perfect, imo. The power requirements are very modest, and I am able to chain it with two other pedals on the same 9V source without any problems. My only gripe is the proximity of the power jack to the input jack; on my board this interferes with my cable routing somewhat, and you should consider this when arranging your board.Read full review
