I love the story of this movie. It has no flaws on the presentation and the disc is in great condition. This is an old movie that still carries a great message. Gold is great but it can bring about hate and greed, sugar coated with avarice.Read full review

Why Not Widescreen?

Sprawling western adventure with a great cast. Effects are somewhat dated after half a century, but still solid storytelling. And a wonderful score by Quincy Jones. Why this wasn't released in widescreen is beyond me. I bought the 4 film set after, just to have the best presentation. Read full review

An excellent old-school 1969 western.

While the shaky bridge at the beginning plus the canyon collapse at the end were obvious models, considering it was circa 1969, it all came out very well. I could not find the copy I had and liked it so well that I replaced it with this one.Read full review
