Worthwhile upgrade to old maglite
As expected, much brighter, and uses less battery power, so worthwhile upgrade to an old maglite, compared to buying new led one. Looks like good quality, although the first one received did have a problem, but was rectified at sellers expense immediately. Retains focussing capability which is not always the case with led conversions. Recommended.Read full review

Excellent Upgrade
This makes SUCH a difference. Nice white light, stays bright until batteries are almost dead, better beam range, lower battery consumption. As others have stated, you do get a dark area in the centre of the beam when set to a wide angle, but not really bothersome. Don't hesitate, if your original Mag bulb is blown, buy one of these. Pleased with the upgrade.
The upgrade was easy to fit and converted the Maglite into a usable torch rather than just a dull glimmer. It surpassed the krypton bulb upgrade which I had tried previously. The negatives are a slight loss of focus ability and the beam is not as even as a modern LED torch which can throw a very tight beam. However, overall, it was better than getting rid of an otherwise obsolete item.

Much brighter and whiter that the original filament bulb. Easy to fit.
Too early to know about improved battery life and longevity, but I would expect these to be very good.
Focussing capabilities a little impaired, but rather less than I expected them to be.

Brilliant Upgrade
This upgrade is brilliant in both senses of the word. Transforms the output of the torch. My only gripe is there were no fitting instructions and although obvious if replacing the old filament type bulb it is not so obvious with the xenon pea bulb. You need to remove the bulb and then slide the adaptor out (by getting your finger nail under the yellow plastic bit). Easy to do once you know.Read full review

Maglite LED upgrade bulb
Much brighter than a conventional bulb will stay bright even as the batteries start to run down. Bulb and batteries will last much longer and the quality of the product appears to be very good.
