Not as good as the genuine article, but still a good value purchase
I have used a pair of these 6.0 amp hour batteries with my Makita 2x18v chainsaw over the past few days. I've compared them to a pair of original Makita 5.0 amp hour batteries that are about 9 months old. They don't last as long as the originals. I can't be more precise than that. However, they work well, probably lasting as long as a pair of 3 amp hour original batteries, but I am guessing. They weigh about 10% less than the Makita 5.0 amp hour originals. However the big advantage is their price. I paid £22.50 each. That is less than one third of the cost of a Makita 5.0 amp hour original. They work perfectly well whilst the original batteries are charging up on a dual charger, so they are excellent for my purposes. So good value for the price.Read full review...

These are advertised in the picture as Makita batteries. They are not !!!
On first use after fully charging on a genuine Makita Charger the batteries lasted about a quarter of the time than my previous LiBatter 5.0Ah batteries. After subsequent use and recharging, the battery life has improved but is still not as good as my previous batteries. I’ve had to turn my Makita Leafblower power output down from 6 to 4 to get any useful life out of them.
They also have no power indicator on the battery itself. Not very impressed. Just hope the battery life improves as I keep using them !!!!!!Read full review...

Better than I thought it was going to be
I was surprised when I opened the box, it was better than I thought it was going to be. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the I haven’t test it over a long period so do know how good it will be long term but so far very happy with it. My only concern is it saying it’s 6ah but how do I know it is or isn’t, it may be printed on the battery sticker but no prove that it is any more powerful than my original 4ah makita batteries. It’s possible they mass produce these batteries and just stick different power stickers on them. I might purchase a 4ah and see if there is any difference.
I would purchase more as original makita batteries are so expensive and these are a 3rd of the price.Read full review...

Purchased these to run alongside a pair of genuine Makita 3.0ah in my twin battery Makita chainsaw. They certainly last longer than the 3.0ah so I've no reason to doubt they do provide the full 5.0ah however time will tell as to the long term quality. Good Value Makita LXT Battery
The 18 volt Makita clone battery does the job for a quarter of the price of a Makita one. I have not had it very long so I don't know how long it will last but even if it has only half the life it is still worth having. I shall buy another so that I have a battery for all my Makita tools.
