Makita 18V 5.0Ah Li-Ion LXT Battery
An excellent battery. Lasts much longer before needing a recharge(Compared with the NiCad and metal hydride batteries I have used before) Re charges very quickly and seems extremely robust. Has been rained on twice and still works beautifully. Smooth and positive attachment to all Makita tools and charger.

One of the best batteries
I already owned a vacuum cleaner that uses the 3.0 Ah version of this battery so I knew they are excellent batteries. I needed two 5.0 Ah batteries for my new Makita chainsaw. They do take a long time to charge as they last much longer than the 3 Ah but this means it takes a long time for the charge to run out. They work very well with the small chainsaw and give it substantially more power than I expected.Read full review
